Morettino Lab: the first Specialty Coffee Shop in the heart of the Palermo Port
The Morettino Lab, nestled within the picturesque Palermo Marina Yachting, is not just a coffee shop. It’s a tranquil oasis by the sea, designed for you to rediscover the pleasure of sharing a coffee at a leisurely pace, feeling the gentle sea breeze, and listening to the soothing sound of sailboat masts.
“Drinking coffee must return to being a ritual,” Palermo’s Andrea Morettino, “an experience capable of stopping time and satisfying our senses, accompanied by the sound of the sailboat masts.”
Specialty coffee, with an exclusive selection of high-altitude coffees directly selected from their countries of origin; food, with a refined brunch offering and a simple and genuine bakery concept; mixology, using Specialty coffee in cocktails; and the coffee experience, with introductory courses into the world of coffee and sensory pairing between coffee and the wine, oil, and other gastronomic excellences of our region.
They also offer a wide selection of coffees on the menu, including exclusive single-origin Specialty Coffees, sought-after Fine Robusta origins, and a selection of Specialty Blends to be tasted in Espresso, prepared with the Modbar.
The mission of evolving coffee consumption as defined by Specialty Coffee can and must be pursued. Still, by stepping out of the niche for a select few, the Specialty Coffee world in Italy has closed itself.“
Morettino Lab is a place for socializing, studying, or working, offering the possibility to enjoy a study or work space right by the sea.
The coffee shop has a small library and a reading area with a Literary Salon project, thanks to the collaboration with the historic Palermo publishing house Sellerio.
